Weekend Boost No. 142
CONNECTING & CATALYZING
Last weekend, I went out of my comfort zone and stepped into something new to me - the Pleiades Network. The Pleiades Network is a community of catalysts that connects, resources, and elevates women + work to cultivate the environmental and social solutions for the tomorrow we need.
The resources I'm sharing this week were inspired by my time with the group at Paicines Ranch in Monterey, California.
An article worth checking out by Jim Collins in HBR is all about mechanisms for catalyzing goals into results.
Steven Covey is noted as saying "Change moves at the speed of trust." My dear friend Katie Kurtz recently posted, "We only build trust at the pace of our nervous systems." So in order to be the leaders we need to be to invoke the change our world needs, we need to be aware of our own internal capacity.
Here's a rundown of 16 short exercises from Johns Hopkins Medicine to help you regulate your nervous system. If you're new to somatic work - or the mind/body connection when it comes to leadership - this is a good place to start.
THE PRACTICE
Try out one of the exercises from the JHU article. Let me know what you thought!
These are so simple, and yet, have proven to have an incredible impact.
