LEADERS CHECK THEIR BIASES
“Diversity is a fact. Inclusion is a choice.”
- Timothy R. Clark
Here are two resources to help you uncover some of your own biases (we all have them) and address them.
For the researchers and evaluators, you may be interested in checking out Project Implicit (based at Harvard) and taking one of their many implicit bias tests.
This website shares 6 interventions for combating bias from Georgetown University.
THE PRACTICE
Set aside 15 minutes to explore the Project Implicit website and take at least one of the IAT assessments.
Based on the findings, reflect on what you've learned about yourself and how it impacts your day to day interactions with people in your life.
