Weekend Boost No. 137

REFLECTION & OFFER OF SUPPORT

This Weekend Boost is going to be a little different (but don't worry - it will still be boost worthy).

Most of you know that my primary professional community is with those who have been directly affected by the illegal dismantling of USAID.

My heart has been with these folks for the last two weeks and my mind has turned to thinking about the incredible foundation foreign assistance has contributed to in strengthening health, education, food and democratic systems.

I'm sharing a few things that have helped clients in the past with dealing with job loss, in searching for a new job, or making a career transition.

  • Here's a link to a career search tracker. For those of you in global development/social impact, there is a tab called "Explore" that includes my latest list of organizations in the sector or sector adjacent. Make a copy and make this a tool that works for you.

  • Here's an article from Greater Good on how to deal with stress through self-compassion - which I think everyone could use more of.

  • As an offer, my friend Cat Coffrin and I will be co-leading a free virtual workshop on 2/17 at 8:30am ET. This is for anyone who wants to nail down their career story and find ways to communicate their value and experience. Sign up here
