ENROLLING OTHERS IN OUR IDEAS IS AN ACT OF LEADERSHIP
Have you ever had an idea (personal or professional) that you haven't found a way to communicate and share with others? These helpful resources may help you find a way forward you haven't yet considered.
This podcast episode with Adam Grant demystifies what it takes to enroll others in your best ideas.
And the tips shared in this blog from Stanford Business School provide a great way to get a conversation about your idea started with others.
THE PRACTICE
Have an idea that you want to share with others?
Take a minute to write out the following:
What is the problem this idea will solve?
Who will this idea serve?
What is the expected impact of this idea?
Make a list of your stakeholders - the individuals or groups of people who you need to enroll, enlist, get support from to take this idea forward.
Decide on a tool (tip or approach) from the resources shared to support you in your next step. Make a plan and set a deadline.
